1st Tasting:  Glen Scotia 15 years Campbelltown (46%) ($77)


2nd Tasting:  Hibiki (Japanese single malt) (43%) ($70)

Tasting Notes for:  Glen Scotia 15 years Campbelltown (46%) ($77)


Color:  honey, amber, gold


Nose:  fruit, floral, vanilla, cereal, toffee, astringent


Flavor:  toffee/caramel, spice, peppery, resinous, cinnamon!


Finish:  short to long, hot, spicy, sweet, oily, salty, mildly ashy


Comment:  Confounding but pleasant simple sipper; not memorable!


Score average:  81 (range 74 to 84)
