Color
Amber.
Nose
Vanilla, citrus fruit, earthy.
Flavor
Salt-water taffy, hot medicinal.
Finish
Complex, long, salty, and peppery.
Brief Comment
Opinions varied, but were overall positive.  This is certainly a complex single malt which was tantalizingly hard to define for some and disappointing for others.  Its best qualities are the nose and finish.
Our Score
84
Our second single malt was Macallan Cask Strength.  Everyone was quite impressed by it and would rate it higher than Macallan 18.  We will certainly put this on the list for formal evaluation in the future.
